Week 13 - Fast week - 17 July 2016

Hey this week was wayyy fast. I will just try to give a daily detailed synopsis.
GETSUYOBI (Monday):
Zone P-Day. It was pretty fun. We woke up worked out, ate breakfast, went shopping, cleaned the place up, and then rode a train for days. After that we met up with the rest of our zone and went to the beach. Played some ultimate Frisbee, took some pictures, and sat in some sand. The beach was actually pretty nice. The water however, I have no idea. Tried not to look at it you know. Then after that we went and ate some ramen and it was dang good. Then we went to our Zone Leaders apartment and went to bed.

KAYOBI (Tuesday):
Zone meeting. We woke up worked out, ate breakfast, then went to zone meeting. Learned some stuff about our zone, met the people in my zone, and learned some more. Afterwards was new missionary follow up training. Pretty much half of the new missionaries that came when I came are in my zone so there were a few of us. I didn't learn very much from that. I pretty much new almost all of what they shared with us. Then we had lunch. Just went to a sushi place. A dollar a plate. That was pretty nice. Still not sure how I feel about sushi. After that we rode a train back from Niigata to Joetsu. We got off a few stops early in Kakizaki to visit a less active member who we set an appointment up with but he wasn't there so we went housing. Then we rode the train back to Naoetsu (where our apartment is located). Went home did daily planning, probably ate dinner but I don't remember and then went to bed.

SUIYOBI (Wednesday):
Woke up worked out, ate breakfast, did all our morning studies and 12 week program (new missionary training packet).  Ate lunch and then went and taught Noriko. Noriko always feeds us when we visit. Usually like some cake and some mugicha or other juice stuff. We taught her the restoration lesson and she's reading the Book of Mormon so that's good. She hasn't come to church yet sadly. After that we handed out some flyers and then we taught eikaiwa. Daily planning and then went to bed.

MOKYOBI (Thursday):
Same morning schedule. Went to an old persons with dementia home. Some crazy old man kept randomly singing and at one point sang the abc's song in English except his letters were all backwards besides A, B, and C. Hahah He also told me he loves sake. Nice.
Next we went and visited a less active and pretty much chopped every tree and push down to a nice knee height. We helped her clean up her yard for like two hours.
After that we went to visit Noriko again but she wasn't there even though she says that she is always there. Lies. She's like rarely there.
After that we got on the train and went to Niigata again. Arrived in Niigata went to our ZL's apartment cooked dinner, did daily planning went to bed.

KINYOBI (Friday):
We had splits with the zone leaders. Woke up regular morning schedule. Went to visit some less actives. One lady let us in and we talked and she gave us some lemonade. That was pretty hisashiburi. Then we tried to visit two more who weren't home. We then had to go to the Eki which I'm pretty sure was all the way on the other side of Niigata. We had an appointment scheduled at like 5:30 and we had to take the train for thirty minutes to get there. We ended up riding our bikes faster than ever and farther than ever. I also was on my ZL's bike and pretty much everything was garbage about that bike. His brakes were done for and his tires were super worn. Also his helmet was a black skateboarding helmet. Not sure why, every other missionary has the exact same white helmet. None the less I didn't hit a car or ride into a lake and drown. We ended up making it to the Eki in time for our train and the investigator ended up not being there. So we went housing and ended up walking into like a college for Chinese students and we were trying to talk to them and two guys, probably administrators came out with a sign and started saying stuff to us and then we left cause apparently we weren't supposed to be there. But how are we supposed to see a sign if it's hidden in the guys office. Oh well. Then we took the train back and had dinner. We had ramen again and it was probably the best ramen I have ever had! It was so good! We reviewed the day's events and improvement points and strengths and other stuff like that. Then I met with my regular companion and we did daily planning. Then we went to bed.

DOYOBI (Saturday):
Morning routine except half way through studying we went to the Eki (not so hisashiburi) and took a train back to Joetsu. While on the train we finished studying. When we got back we went and had lunch. After that we went to visit a less active. She wasn't there. Then we went to visit Noriko again. She wasn't there. Then we did some finding around Takada Eki which has a lot of shops and like four high schools all in that area. Afterwards we went housing and talked to a lot of people. Then we went and visited our Vietnamese eternal investigator and we talked about the Book of Mormon (again) and he said he'd read a little and didn't feel anything but I'm pretty sure he read the first verse and then called it good. But at least that is progress. Small, but still he's improving. He also wants to know if there is a movie, probably so he doesn't have to read it. We need to help him realize that he needs to read it with and open mind and a willing heart and he will feel something. Then we went back to our apartment. Had dinner. Did daily planning and went to bed.

NICHIYOBI (Sunday):
Nothing of importance to report other than a less active member finally came back to church and right as we were about to start the meeting a Chinese 26 year old walked in and said he was interested. His nihongo (Japanese) is pretty jozu (good). He's a college student and pretty busy but we have a lesson scheduled for next Saturday and he has a Book of Mormon and is planning on coming to church on Sunday. So I'm pretty excited. For that. Also Aoyama San came to church as well but left after sacrament meeting. He did how ever tell us that after he prayed about the plan of salvation he had a good feeling.

Well all in all this week was good. It seems as though Joestsu is on the rise. Also new Meet the Mormons movie coming out or came out and it has some Japanese band from Tokyo in it! Yee yee
Oh also I have a new goal. It's a good one. To be a trainer by transfer three.
