Also I had interviews with my Mission President this week and it was really great. He told me that my companion is probably the best missionary in the Tokyo mission right now and that that is who God wanted me to be with and
in the area for a reason! He also told me about how my companions mother died of cancer while he was on his mission and he stayed and didn't go home at all. Funeral or anything. He was however able to skype her and his family before she passed. He is an amazing example and has such strong faith.
For most meals we just have rice with some cooked vegetables, meat and a sauce on it. He usually cooks but I help out as much as I can. I have not had octopus yet.
This past week I spent most of the time in Nagaoka and Niigata. On Thursday I had splits with my District Leader and actually ended up finding a new investigator for them in their area. So I hope all goes well with him.
Then on Friday I had an interview with President Nagano and Sister Nagano. Sister Nagano is kinda like a crazy Japanese lady. They are both great and I love them so much. On Saturday President Nagano came out to Joetsu for the first time ever and came on splits with us. We ended up finding a nice room across from an Eki where we
can advertise eikaiwa and teach eikaiwa and hopefully get a lot of the students who come and go to come to English classes so that we can build a strong relationship with the youth and eventually start teaching them and helping them come closer to Christ.
Our two investigators are both kinda slowing down. Maybe because we were gone most of the week or something but Noriko (my Japanese grandmother) hasn't been home for our last two appointments but when we visit she is always as genki (happy) as ever. Hopefully we can get an appointment and help her to desire to follow Christ and have an eternal family. Aoyama San is just weird he doesn't have a valid reason to not keep any commitments or anything. I don't even know why he still meets with us. It seems like he doesn't really enjoy it anyways but hopefully he's feeling the spirit and hopefully he will start following its prompting some more.
Well that's about all I have to say. Today is Zone P-Day so we have to
leave for Niigata again in like an hour.
Well love you! Have fun in Utah and I hope all is going well!
